North Pole Rotary Club President Tasmine Stebbins today announced the recipients of $10,000 Scholarships for two local high school graduates. Ambert Stewart and Anthony Isles will each receive $5,000 for each of their first two years of college, based on their community commitment along with scholastic performance.

Stewart plans to become a traveling nurse and will seek a bachelor’s degree at Brigham Young University in Boise, Idaho.

Iles will study civil engineering and accounting at the University of Alaska, with a goal of interning in Fairbanks before starting his own engineering firm locally.

Founded in 1978, North Pole Rotary has funded more than $200,000 to local graduating students for academic and vocational studies, emphasizing not only scholastic achievement but character and community service among the students selected.
